Description
I dedicate the SatanArt #1 collection to our Teacher and Spiritualizer, Satan, and all the forces of Hell. Therefore, the theme of the first issue of the SatanArt album is: The Classic Image of Satan-Baphomet and Canonical Satanic Icons. This issue does not contain pornography. I focused primarily on icons depicting Baphomet. I added several images of Satan with a touch of sexual lust to SatanArt #1 for added interest. The issue includes dark icons of Baphomet, charming images of Baphomet, terrifying images of Satan, and beautiful images of Satan. However, each person will experience their own feelings from the images. Please note that these are not just ordinary feelings, but a visual method for accelerating the acceptance of Satan or a method for immersion in Satanism. Baphomet is a cult icon for Satanists, and denying this fact is ridiculous and pathetic. Many esotericists, mystics, neopagans, and witches consider Baphomet their icon. This is completely normal and contributes to the popularization of Satanism as an egregor of good. The Goat-Baphomet brings nothing bad or negative, except retribution for evil in Hell or in our world. Images of Baphomet symbolize Satan, just as the “eight lying on its side” ♾️ symbolizes infinity. These are enduring symbols of our world, known, loved, and used by many people across planet Earth. Eliphas Levi’s Baphomet is not a documentary portrait of Satan, because Satan can take any form. Numerous modern Satanist artists have painted various variations of Baphomet, which speaks to the great interest in mysticism, esotericism, and Satanism among creative people with a gift for artistically visualizing abstract objects. I wish the image of Satan-Baphomet prosperity and expansion. The Antichrist, Slut Sodomia, is participating in this.
Today, Baphomet continues to generate interest and discussion among various groups, including Satanists, occultists, and esoteric scholars. He remains a powerful symbol of transformation, spiritual quest, and the unity of opposites. Baphomet is called the “Abbot of the Temple of Peace for All Men” due to the symbolism associated with his image and its interpretations in occult traditions. This title reflects the concepts of harmony, unity, and the integration of opposites that Baphomet embodies. The term “Abbot of the Temple of Peace for All Men” can be seen as a metaphor for the ideal state of harmony and balance sought by occult and esoteric traditions. Baphomet, as the Abbot of this Temple, represents the idea that through the understanding and integration of all aspects of existence, peace and harmony can be achieved. The title “Abbot of the Temple of Peace for All Men” emphasizes Baphomet’s role as a symbol of unity, harmony, and enlightenment. It represents the ideal that people strive for through spiritual and alchemical practices, uniting opposites and achieving a state of peace and balance.
The word “Baphomet,” read from right to left as “Temohpab,” is a notarikon—an acronym based on the first letters of the following phrase: “Templi omnium hominum pacis abbas,” which, translated from Latin, means “Abbot of the Temple of the Peace of All Peoples.”
Baphomet means “Abbot of the Temple of the Peace of All Peoples” (a Latin abbreviation spelled backwards), and first appeared in history during the accusations of heresy against the Knights Templar; according to the court, the order’s followers worshiped Baphomet, a representation of the Devil himself. In fact, the Templars, like many other members of closed societies, venerated all Scriptures, and Baphomet is a corruption of “Mohammed,” as indicated by the mention of “Yalla,” or “Allah,” during the trial. So, no separate deity named Baphomet ever existed, nor was it worshipped (although many pagan religions had horned or goat-headed gods). The image was used by inquisitors in their investigations of the order, which they decided to abolish due to its excessive influence or simply because of the doubts of certain high-ranking officials. But then the image was adopted by real Satanists, who desperately needed their own symbols. Baphomet was chosen as such a symbol, becoming a real-life representation of the devil in the form of an almost typical devil—a goat with horns, but humanoid. It looks like a humanoid goat with a pair of twisted horns and a third, torch-like horn protruding from its forehead, from which, instead of a penis, emerges a rod entwined with snakes. Black, charred wings emerge from the monster’s back.
The main elements and symbols of Baphomet:
- The head of a goat: The goat’s head is believed to represent the Goat of Mendes, the symbol of the Egyptian Neter Amun, who was called the hidden one because he resides in all things, the essence of all phenomena.
- The pentagram on the forehead, in the form of a star, connects white and black, human and animal, magic and alchemy. Often depicted on the forehead of Baphomet, it symbolizes protection and magic; in its normal orientation, it symbolizes Satanism and anarchy. The inverted pentagram signifies Satanic spiritualization or the Spiritualization emitted by Baphomet-Satan.
- The torch on the head symbolizes enlightenment, knowledge, and the spirit ascending from matter.
- Feminine and masculine elements: Baphomet has traits of both masculine and feminine principles, symbolizing the unity of opposites and the androgynous nature of the divine.
- The wings represent freedom and spiritual ascension, associating Baphomet with angelic and divine beings.
- Hand Gestures: One hand points upward, the other downward, symbolizing the principle of “as above, so below,” reflecting Hermetic teachings.
- Caduceus: A staff entwined with snakes symbolizes healing, wisdom, and harmony between opposites.
- Scales are often depicted on Baphomet’s belly, symbolizing water, the moon, and the mutability of nature.
- Crescent moons are depicted at Baphomet’s feet or horns, symbolizing the lunar phases and the cyclical nature of nature.
- Solve et Coagula: A Latin phrase meaning “Dissolve and Condense,” symbolizing the alchemical process of transformation, separation, and union of elements. A secret formula for the alchemical evolution of consciousness, which states: dissolve and unite a substance as many times as necessary to create the most perfect symbiosis of spirit and matter—the Philosopher’s Stone.
- Snakes are often depicted coiled around the staff or rod of Baphomet, which can symbolize wisdom, healing, and vitality (similar to the caduceus).
To effectively work with Baphomet, it is crucial to understand its correspondences. These associations help harmonize energies and enhance rituals.
- Baphomet’s planets: Saturn (symbol of wisdom and karma) and Mars (symbol of strength and war).
- Baphomet’s element: Earth and Fire (symbolizing stability and transformation).
- Baphomet’s colors: black, red, and gold.
- Baphomet’s symbols: upright or inverted pentagram, torch of enlightenment, caduceus (symbol of duality and healing).
- Baphomet’s offerings: wine, blood, incense (such as dragon’s blood and myrrh), black candles, and goat’s milk. Also, the offering can be satanic sex.
- Baphomet’s herbs: belladonna, wormwood, and vermillion (all associated with visions and dark magic).
- Baphomet’s Animals: Goat, Snake, Raven
Some authorities believe that Baphomet was a monstrous head, while others believe it was a demon in the form of a goat. One description of the true idol of Baphomet states the following:
A pantheistic and magical figure of the Absolute. A torch placed between two horns symbolizes the balancing intelligence of the triad. The goat’s head, synthetic and combining some features of a dog, a bull, and a donkey, symbolizes the exclusive responsibility of matter and the atonement for bodily sins. Human hands indicate the sacredness of labor; they make the sign of esotericism above and below to seal the mystery in the contemplation of initiates, and point to two lunar crescents, the upper white and the lower black, to explain the correspondences of good and evil, mercy and justice. The lower part of the body is covered with a veil, depicting the mysteries of universal generation, expressed exclusively by the symbol of the caduceus. The goat’s belly is scaly and green, the semicircle above is blue, and the plumage reaching the chest is of various shades. The goat has female breasts, and therefore its characteristics are motherhood, labor, or signs of redemption. On its forehead, between its horns and beneath the torch, is the sign of the microcosm, or pentagram with one ray in an ascending position, a symbol of human reason, which, when positioned thus beneath the torch, makes the latter’s flame an image of divine revelation. This Pantheon should sit on a cube, and its footstool should be a single globe or a globe and a triangular footstool.
